About Megan Weaver
First-generation college graduate with a Biochemistry background, now working at the intersection of recruiting, engineering strategy, and operational excellence at McMaster-Carr.I partner directly with engineering and technology leadership to build the teams that design and scale the systems behind one of the most efficient ecommerce and operations networks in the country. My work spans technical hiring, organizational strategy, and evaluating engineering talent across distributed systems, API development, large-scale infrastructure, performance-critical backend services, and ambiguous complex problems. For engineers who enjoy moving fluidly between fullstack development, platform architecture, distributed systems, and applied AI, McMaster-Carr offers a uniquely broad technical landscape. We value adaptable generalists with the curiosity to learn quickly, the depth to design reliable systems that last, and the judgment to understand the “why” behind their work so their solutions create real, enduring impact.Let’s connect if you’re interested in contributing to work such as: • Large-scale distributed systems that support hundreds of thousands of daily users • High-performance backend services where reliability, efficiency, and correctness matter • Automation, robotics, and software that power accurate, high-velocity fulfillment operations • Data modeling, search, ranking, and architecture for a SKU catalog • Tools and platforms that streamline supplier selection, purchasing, and logistics • GenAI applied to real operational problems from customer support to internal workflows • System design that optimizes accuracy, speed, and end-to-end customer experience
