About Megan Uppala
I am a sophomore at the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University, double-majoring in Public Policy Analysis and LEAD (Law, Ethics, and Decision-Making) on the pre-law track, with a minor in Psychology. I am interested in the intersection of law and business and plan to pursue corporate law to represent companies through contracts and compliance with regulations. I plan on graduating in May 2028 and pursuing law school. My legal interest was sparked while interning at Franklin County Public Health and Technumen. At Technumen, I did research on case law and immigration policies, and helped to organize case files, schedule attorney meetings, and track case progress to meet legal deadlines. I obtained knowledge on immigration law, including visa classifications and legal alternatives for student and family-based visas. At Franklin County Public Health, I researched school meal nutrition and food insecurity and developed an action plan with policy recommendations to reverse public health issues. In addition to internships, I have also held leadership roles like Event Coordinator for the Legal Studies Club and Advisory Committee member of the Business Economics and Public Policy Club. I am a Kappa Omega Alpha Mock-Trial coach as well, mentoring new pledges on public speaking, speechwriting, argument development, and mock trial techniques.I hope to continue gaining new experiences and knowledge in the field of business and law as I prepare to enter the field of corporate law.
