ABOUT MEGAN TAMISIEA
I am a policy and public affairs professional with experience in governance, anti-corruption, conflict-resolution, and national security. My work bridges research, external engagement, and program coordination to strengthen institutions and mitigate security and compliance-related risks.Recent Professional Experience: As a Research Associate at the Atlantic Council, I co-authored published policy recommendations on U.S. democracy assistance in Europe, analyzing polling data, election interference, and security trends. Previously, at the Organization of American States, I drafted memos on top security issues across the Americas, advised on U.S. policy priorities, and coordinated with stakeholders from 20+ countries to plan international conferences at OAS headquarters. I have also managed partner communications channels and annual documentation processes at OAS and Democracy International, as well as authored a historical analysis for USAID on long-term democracy, human rights, and governance (DRG) programming.Education and Leadership:I earned my M.A. in Government - Democracy and Governance from Georgetown University. While at Georgetown, I worked as a Student Assistant and Event Coordinator, and TAd for courses on International Organizations and International Relations. I earned my B.A. in Political Science - Politics and Law and a minor in Psychology from American University, where I concurrently played Division I volleyball.
