ABOUT MEGAN NEUBURGER
As Managing Director and Head of Fitch Ratings’ U.S. and Canada Corporate Ratings group, I lead a team of 190 talented analysts dedicated to delivering analytical excellence across the non-financial corporate debt landscape. Based in New York, I’m passionate about cultivating a culture of rigor, insight, and integrity that strengthens Fitch’s reputation in the debt capital markets.Since joining Fitch in 2003, I’ve built a career grounded in public finance and corporate credit. I began in tax-supported ratings for local governments before transitioning to the Corporate Ratings group in 2007, where I developed deep sector expertise in healthcare and pharmaceuticals. I led coverage in that space from 2014 until my promotion to Regional Group Head in 2021.I hold a B.S. in Economics and Policy Studies and an MPA in municipal finance from Syracuse University’s Maxwell School, along with the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation. I’m a frequent speaker at national credit conferences, a scout for Hearst Level Up Ventures, and a former member of Fitch’s Analytical Contribution and Excellence judging panel.Outside of work, I’m an avid runner (four marathons and counting), yoga enthusiast, and passionate traveler. I also enjoy exploring the world of wine, holding certifications including Wine Scholar Guild’s French Wine Scholar and WSET Level 2. I speak conversational Spanish and am currently working toward proficiency in French.
