The Utah State Hosptial provides treatment to patients who experience mental illness. The goal of treatment is to improve patients ability to cope with their mental illness in order to discharge and reach their fullest potential.Responsibilities- Assisting patients in activities of daily living such as daily hygiene, taking medications, keeping room clean etc- Watch for signs of escalation in patients and using verbal de escalation skills to hopefully prevent the use of physical holds- Perform physical holds on escalated patients when necessary to ensure the safety of patients and staff
