About Megan Bounit
Megan Bounit is an educator and lifelong learner who is committed to supporting equity, inclusion, and belonging in school communities and is passionate about technology, education, and leadership. She has spent the past two decades working at the intersection of technology and education. She currently serves as the Director of Education Technology for Wellesley Public Schools. Before joining WPS she worked at Prospect Hill Academy Charter School in Cambridge and Somerville, MA; Park School in Brookline, MA; Buckingham Browne & Nichols School in Cambridge, MA; and King School in Stamford, CT. Megan has a bachelor\'s degree in Computer Science from Bryn Mawr College and a master\'s degree in Technology in Education from Lesley University. She is currently pursuing a post-graduate certificate in education leadership from Harvard University. Megan was also fortunate to have worked as a member of the Scratch Team in the Lifelong Kindergarten Group at the MIT Media Lab. Megan was chosen by Global Online Academy to be a member of their 20••••18 inaugural Learning Design Coaches Cohort, was a Community Teaching Assistant for the MIT EdX course “Launching Innovation in Schools: XQ Edition,” and was selected by MassCUE to be a Social Media Ambassador at their 2017 annual conference. Megan is a KIBO Ambassador, a certified Flipgrid Educator, a 4th year certified Seesaw Ambassador, a certified Common Sense Educator, a Certified GoGuardian Educator, and a Certified GoGuardian Admin. Megan was selected by School Reform Initiative to be a member of their SRI Leadership Academy Inaugural Cohort 20••••20. Megan has presented at AISNE, MassCUE, CSTA, and ISTE and has been published in SmartBrief, eSchoolNews and Technical Symposium on Computer Science Education, ACM SIGCSE.
