The TOGETHER Program is a collaboration between Virginia Tech and the University of Maryland. The program, led by the University of Maryland, provides three services: free education workshops, case management and connections to employment and job placement. Specifically, TOGETHER offers a six-week financial education curriculum for couples; offering weekly meetings (for free) with financial and couples experts. Participants are taught skills to improve communication and manage stress, in particular money stress, as individuals and as a couple. In 2023, the TOGETHER curriculum was revised to specifically include LGBTQ+ couples.
