ABOUT MEGAN FRAIN
Hello! I\'m Megan, a double major in Communication and Dance at San Diego State University in the School of Professional Studies and Fine Arts. With a passion for both live arts and creative media, I am interested in exploring how movement and communication intersect to create the human experience.At SDSU, my focus within the dance major is on post-modern styles, while outside of SDSU I expand on my knowledge of commercial dance and choreography. Post-college I plan to continue my training in both of these sectors, with a goal of performing, directing, and choreographing concert and commercial dance projects.In my communication courses, I oftentimes find ways to incorporate dance as part of my research projects. I have studied communication theories surrounding group work within dance contexts, as well as argumentative aspects such as competitive dance culture. I am eager to continue exploring the intersection of communication and dance, with the ultimate goal of contributing to the evolution of both fields through performance, choreography, and research.
