ABOUT MEGAN FETZNER

I am currently working at CCR of Roanoke, VA as the Director of HR at the Home Office location. CCR is a LTC organization with 12 Virginia-based communities located across the Commonwealth of Virginia. Prior to this, I served as a Human Resources Director for Kendal at Lexington, a Continuing Care Retirement Community (CCRC). We have approximately 170 awesome employees at this location and even more incredible residents. In this role, I support and practice most every facet of Human Resources ranging from recruitment, retention, employee relations, compensation, safety and workers compensation, benefits administration, policy and procedure writing and compliance. Previously, I was employed as a Regional Human Resources Manager for Lutheran Family Services of Virginia helping to provide HR support over 450 employees state-wide. Each day, I exercise my expertise in all facets of Human Resources. Prior to this, I was a Division Human Resources Manager for IES Holdings Inc, Commercial Division. There, I was responsible for managing all HR policies, procedures and practices at the local branch level in support of operational efficiency.Before this, I served as an On-Premise Manager for Aerotek. In this role, I worked out of General Electric Energy in Salem, VA, I managed the contractor work force whose primary focus is renewable and sustainable energy. Many of the contractors are skilled engineers, drafters and designers. In my role, I also provided human resources functions, such as onboarding and offboarding contract staff, account maintenance, employee relations management, and coordination of contractor social events and lunches.Previously, I worked as a Recruitment Specialist with Carilion Labs, aka Solstas Lab Partners. I recruited for various positions in and out of the laboratory, such as qualified and experienced Histologists, Medical Technologists, Medical Laboratory Technicians, Sales Representatives, Laboratory Managers and Phlebotomists. In addition to recruiting laboratory technical staff, I also recruited for some IT positions, clerical positions and other entry level positions with the labs. I really enjoyed matching the right person with the right position and making a career connection that stands the test of time. I have completed my BBA Degree via Averett University. I also have achieved a Master\'s Degree with Penn State University in Human Resources and Employee Relations. I have successfully ascertained my SHRM-CP certification and am working toward receiving my SPHR certificiation as well.
