As an Oncology Nurse Practitioner, I saw this first-hand as patients explored clinical trial options and made timid steps or leaps unto a new treatment path. When I moved into the biotech & pharmaceutical industry, I immediately saw the other side of this complexity. This required me to develop a leadership approach driven by understanding the needs of the internal & external stakeholders—the patients, healthcare providers, colleagues & peers, cross-functional teams—and aligning all towards the ultimate goal of bringing good medicines to patients. When we deliver new medicines & choices to patients we pave the wave for future investment and innovation that continuously advances science & healthcare.
