I used to think I was born to be an accountant. As a child, I’d help my grandmother balance her checkbook and calculate discounts for my mom at the department store. Naturally, I pursued an accounting degree and spent years honing my skills across various roles in client service and public accounting, including tax, internal audit, forensic accounting, and technical accounting consulting.More recently, I’m bringing these experiences to an Accounting Supervisor role. My transition from client service to an accounting function has reinforced something important: while accounting is foundational to my work, the real value I bring is in empowering teams, streamlining processes, and fostering a culture of collaboration.Whether I’m in a team member or leader role, I’m committed to balancing technical expertise with empathy and understanding, ensuring that both the team and the broader organization thrive.
