About Megan Yerrabelli
I am an incoming M.A. Economics student at Columbia University with a passion for applying economic theory and quantitative analysis to real-world challenges. At Columbia, I look forward to expanding my expertise in econometrics, industrial organization, and predictive modeling to better understand how policy, innovation, and law interact to shape consumer and market outcomes.I recently graduated from Fordham University, where I double-majored in Economics and Urban Studies and developed a strong foundation in research, policy analysis, and data-driven problem solving. I currently work in the Intellectual Property Department at Gibney, Anthony, and Flaherty LLP, conducting targeted online research to support trademark and copyright protection strategies for clients.During my time at Fordham, I was Online Editor for the Lincoln Center campus\' student-run newspaper, The Observer. Additionally, I received a research grant from the Fordham Initiative on Migrants, Migration, and Human Dignity to do archival research on the historical impact of urban renewal in NYC immigrant neighborhoods. In May 2024, I successfully completed my honors thesis in Urban Studies.I also worked as a research assistant to a political science professor, reviewed student submissions for the Fordham Undergraduate Research Journal, and was inducted into Phi Kappa Phi, Alpha Sigma Nu, and Omicron Delta Epsilon, one of the leading honor societies in economics.I’m excited to continue applying my research, analytical, and communication skills in professional and academic settings, with long-term goals in economics and intellectual property.
