Part Time Faculty @Mount Saint Mary\'s University
Los Angeles, CA, US
As an educator in Orthopedic Pathology and Pain Science, I provide comprehensive instruction on the mechanisms, assessment, and management of pain, focusing on the interplay between orthopedic pathology and pain perception. In Orthopedic Pathology, I emphasize the diagnosis and understanding of musculoskeletal injuries and degenerative conditions, encouraging students to integrate foundational pathology knowledge with clinical reasoning. In Pain Science, I guide students through contemporary understandings of pain mechanisms, including biopsychosocial perspectives, neural plasticity, and the roles of the central and peripheral nervous systems in pain modulation. My teaching aims to foster critical thinking and a nuanced understanding of pain and pathology, preparing future clinicians for informed, empathetic patient care.
