Most recently, I was a Research Fellow at the Peterson Institute for International Economics (PIIE), where I worked with Senior Fellows Jeffrey J. Schott and Gary Clyde Hufbauer on e-commerce and international trade issues. I was also the founder of DisinfoLab, an undergraduate disinformation think tank at the College of William & Mary. My work has appeared in economic analysis for the Harris-Walz campaign, as well as in the Wall Street Journal, the Financial Times, the Washington Post, the New York Times, New York Magazine, Foreign Affairs, Politico, Bloomberg, CNN (Fareed Zakaria GPS), Inside US Trade, Xinhua, China Daily News, East Asia Forum, Voice of America, PBS, and Nikkei Asia. I have also briefed members of European Parliament and members of Congress. Beyond international trade, my research interests include online radicalization, emerging technologies, and great power competition.
