I have been an IP Legal Assistant since 2009. I started after receiving my Associates Degree from Fox College, specializing in business communications, office procedures and computer skills. I have a proficiency in a variety of office software applications and am certified in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Creation, preparation & management of patent and trademark files; Administer, maintain and continuously update reports for clients/attorneys to track progress of all US & foreign patent/trademark related deadlines; Transcribing patent applications & office action responses; Preparation of prosecution documents (i.e, responses to various USPTO notifications, preliminary amendment, assignment, declaration, POA, IDS, ADS, office actions, etc.); Filing patent applications (i.e, Provisional, Non-provisional, PCT, US National Stage) and prosecution documents via EFS-Web; Entering attorneys\' time, expenses & new matters into Timeslips ensuring all codes are entered correctly based on clients\' specific instructions; Invoice processing; Ordering certified copies of various documents through the USPTO; Following up with inventors regarding draft applications and documentation needing their signatures; Studying Office Actions; drafting letters to clients reporting and summarizing said Office Action; Using various data bases (Micropatent, Patent Fetcher, Espace) to search US, foreign & PCT patents & publications, cited in OA\'s, search results and ISR\'s In addition, I have extensive direct communications with clients, foreign associates and outside counsel to ensure all of their needs are handled in an expeditious manner.
