ABOUT MEGAN LAZORSKI
I am a professor and a chemist with expertise in synthesis, purification, and characterization (analytical, spectroscopic, and electrochemical) of solution-phase molecules and bulk materials. My research primarily focuses on the investigation of light-matter interactions via synthetic manipulation of electronic structure. Particularly, I have investigated:(1) the photosensitization of vitreous materials via photoinitiated colloidal formation,(2) the mechanism of electron and energy transfer in artificial photosynthetics and photon-upconversion materials, and (3) the use of 3D-printing technology to produce accessible spectroscopic instrumentation. Throughout my career, I delight in using my analytical prowess, scientific communication skills, and creativity to build a successful professorial practice and research laboratory.
