Megan specializes in representing children and their families with regard to education and special education law issues, including, educational planning, student rights and discipline, and school policies and procedures, within both private and public schools systems. She also works with families to develop special needs and disability planning, and special needs trusts.As the mother of a child with Autism, Megan has a particular interest in representing children and their families affected by Autism and Autism Spectrum Disorders, helping families navigate through the school system and special education process, including seeking the successful integration and independence of children with special needsWhile Megan is licensed to practice law within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, she also spends a significant amount of time working for families of children with special needs in her home state of Maryland, and neighboring state of Delaware, acting as an advocate for the families during the IEP (Individualized Education Plan) process. She also acts as an advocate in legislative matters concerning Autism.Prior to practicing law, Megan acted as the firm administrator for Reger Rizzo & Darnall LLP for several years.
