ABOUT MEGAN DOHERTY

Megan Doherty is the Planning Manager for the Blueprint Intergovernmental Agency and believes great, inclusive public spaces are essential for successful cities. Megan developed her love of cities while working for Florida State University in London, where she experienced firsthand the joy and benefits of places designed for people. • Two-time National Finalist for the Knight Cities Challenge: Proposals for improving transit stops (2015) and creating more engaging and equitable public spaces (2017) were selected as national finalists for the Knight Cities Challenge grant competition. • Downtown-University Protected Bicycle Lanes: Led the development and implementation of Tallahassee’s first protected bike lane network, which in 2016 was named the ‘#3 Best New Bike Lane in the United States’ by People for Bikes. • Frenchtown Better Block: Created a partnership with the Knight Foundation, Florida State University, City of Tallahassee, and Better Block Foundation to secure a grant for a community-led project to reimagine the historic Frenchtown neighborhood.
