ABOUT MEGAN CHESSNOE

I am currently a Project Manager for GE Vernova (USC).General Electric has been my pride and second home for the past five years. I began my career with GE in 2020 during the transfer of work from the General Electric plant (RMW) in Georgia to the GE plant (USC) in Pennsylvania. During this time, I completed a four-month training in GE’s ITR department, working closely with Instrument Transformers.Shortly after the transfer, I briefly took on the role of Production Team Lead, which allowed me to develop new skill sets and contribute to the foundation of the new production line in Pennsylvania. I participated in Lean events such as Cumbuca leadership trainings and supported Kaizens. One of the most rewarding aspects of this position was supporting production in GE’s ITR Cleanroom. With a focus on continuous improvement, I created operator checklists, collected data to prevent production failures, and promoted 5S standards throughout the room. While this experience was invaluable, I discovered my true passion was in Quality Assurance.For the last two years, I have been a part of the Quality Assurance team, where I have found tremendous fulfillment in training and supporting others. As a Quality Coordinator, my responsibilities included procedure documentation and improvements, QA audits, data analysis, and production training. This foundation has now prepared me to take on my current role as Project Manager, where I am excited to lead initiatives, drive process improvements, and continue supporting the GE Vernova team as our site grows.
