ABOUT MEGAN CAHALIN

On a mission to drive positive change in reproductive and sexual health, I bring a versatile skill set and a deep passion for making a difference. With recently attaining a Master of Public Health in Maternal & Child Health with a secondary focus on Health Education & Communication, I\'ve not only maintained a stellar academic record but have also actively applied my knowledge in various roles. In my previous role as a Health Education Intern at Planned Parenthood Gulf Coast, I crafted impactful educational materials, conducted research on emerging health issues, and facilitated essential community sessions. My proficiency in data analysis and program evaluation has been instrumental in enhancing outcomes, notably in my contribution to the Men in the Movement initiative. As a Research Assistant at the Tulane University Violence Prevention Institute, I conducted thematic analysis on over 70 qualitative interviews, playing a pivotal role in evaluating the impact of brief parent interventions on preventing child physical maltreatment in New Orleans. Beyond this, I advocate as the Advocacy Coordinator for the Maternal and Child Health National Network, develop policy briefs as a Scholar Member at the Tulane Center of Excellence, and connect with prospective students as a Student Ambassador. Certified in Human Research, proficient in SPSS, Google Suite, and Microsoft Office, I bring a wealth of skills to contribute to projects that improve community well-being and drive change in public health outcomes. My journey is defined by my dedication to creating a healthier, more informed society, particularly in the realm of maternal and child health. I\'m excited to leverage my skills and passion to continue making a meaningful impact.
