WORK HISTORY
Retail Internal Audience Engagement Executive (with Manager Responsibilities) @Oxfam
I have primary responsibility of our e-commerce Depop shop; selecting relevant stock - such as ‘Y2K glam’, describing, photographing, listing the stock via the app or website. I manage customer messages, the merchandising of our shop front and attend meetings/training with Depop staff. I also train and manage our volunteers to assist with all of the above. I also have the responsibility of recruiting volunteers. I help create and edit the role profiles, advertise them on job sites, manage the applications, invite people for initial phone calls, hold the phone calls, communicate via email, send for references, induct volunteers - paperwork, site tour. From then on I assist in managing the volunteers at our Festival Wastesaver operation and regularly update them on their contributions to Oxfam\'s cause, general news/what\'s coming up. I attend several festivals and event locations where I manage volunteers in helping to run our pop-up shops. From setting up, to cash handling. Break management, to stock replenishment. I also help in the recruitment of volunteers for the festivals and events. I also plan and prepare for our festival pop-up shops and events; stock management - trend research, prepping props, logistical planning, loading and unloading wagons, vans etc. These are a few examples of the many hats I wear while working as a deputy manager for The Oxfam Festival Shop, in turn raising as much money as possible to help put an end to poverty.

ABOUT MEGAN BROWN
Passionate about creating meaningful connections, memorable experiences, and advocating for what\'s right. With over 8 years in communications, events, and marketing, I enjoy bringing ideas to life that inspire people to engage and take action. Skilled in internal comms, campaign delivery, and storytelling, I thrive on collaboration and creativity. I have even managed pop-up shops at festivals like Glastonbury and Boomtown, leading teams of over 30 to raise funds while maintaining high energy (and keeping the glitter stocked). Outside of work, you’ll often find me hunting for vintage fashion, reading a good book, tracking cultural trends, or advocating for sustainability and social causes. Powered by Yorkshire tea, diverse playlists, and a love of community, I am always eager to connect with others who want to make an impact!
