About Megan Bankowski
Originally from Ann Arbor, Michigan, I graduated with my Master of Public Affairs (MPA) from Indiana University’s O’Neill School of Public and Environmental Affairs, concentrating in energy and climate policy. For my MPA capstone, I partnered with the Union of Concerned Scientists to assess how federal energy assistance programs—such as LIHEAP and WAP—serve residents of Manufactured Housing Communities. I also hold a Bachelor of Science in Public Management and Leadership from Indiana University, along with a minor in Urban Planning and Community Development and a certificate in Political and Civic Engagement (PACE). Professionally, I have worked across multiple facets of government affairs, gaining experience at the intersection of policy, politics, and public impact. My background includes multi-client lobbying at Brownstein Hyatt Farber Schreck, policy analysis at the White House Office of Management and Budget (OMB), in-house government relations at AF Group, and legislative work in a congressional office on Capitol Hill. These roles have provided me with a well-rounded perspective on how policy is shaped, negotiated, and implemented at every stage of the process. I currently serve in the Office of Senator Chris Coons as a Climate Solutions Fellow with the Climate Solutions Foundation.
