About Meg Robinson

I\'m a Senior at Samford University pursuing a Bachelor\'s degree in Journalism & Mass Communications with concentrations in Print Media and Public Relations and a minor in Sports Media. I\'m passionate about bringing athletic stories to life through compelling visual content.For the past four years, I\'ve served as a creative student worker for Samford Athletics, where I\'ve enhanced my skills in sports photography while supporting a Division I program\'s marketing and communications goals. My experience spans everything from high-energy game coverage to coordinating media day photo shoots; always with a focus on capturing images that align with the athletic department\'s vision and brand.One of my most memorable experiences include traveling with Samford\'s men\'s basketball team to Salt Lake City for our NCAA March Madness tournament appearance. Telling the story of their journey throughout that season was an honor I will never take for granted. Another memorable experience was when I was able to travel to Waco, Texas to photograph Samford VS Baylor in September 2025. Having the opportunity to capture our team facing off against such a high-profile opponent was such an important story to tell, and I\'m so thankful to have had the chance to do so!My goals as a creative content maker in athletics are to connect with fans, recruits, and the communtity through creating stimulating visual content that tells powerful stories.Bringing my passion for sports photography and content creation to a Division I athletics program is my dream job! I would love to contribute to building compelling visual narratives that celebrate athletic excellence.I’m passionate about capturing the action, reaction, and details that make sports such compelling stories. I’d love to connect with others who share that love for athletics and photography, and explore opportunities to create meaningful work together!

   Aug 2023 — Present

   While serving as Director of Photogrpahy for Samford\'s school newspaper, the Crimson, I photograph multiple newsworthy events each week, ensure that each story has a photo taken by someone on staff, plan promotional photoshoots for each week’s edition, coordinate, teach, and lead staff to take high quality and newsworthy photos, edit photos to match tone of the newspaper, and design posters to be displayed on campus displaying weekly editions.I also have the privilege of writing articles for the paper every now and then! I\'ve written about student-led clubs, conducted profiles on athletes and recapped seasonal games.
