About Megan Kim

I am a recent graduate from New York University Tandon School of Engineering with a B.S. in Integrated Design and Media and a minor in Computer Science and Science and Technology Studies. My goals are to pursue marketing and design, centered around a user\'s journey. For the past four years, I have had vast extracurricular experience working in fast-paced team environments for UX/UI design, motion graphics, and web development, such as my time being the Media Lead and Director of Operations for a team of 100+ students at the nonprofit organization, NYU Motorsports. My experience as the Director of Operations at New York University’s Motorsports Program has allowed me to not only improve audience response and engagement from rebranding but also foster a meaningful and cross-functional community of engineers. I believe that the culture and passion of a dynamic team are reflected in the products they create, enhancing not only efficiency but also the satisfaction of the team itself.As a current Audio Visual Technician for Barnard College and previously at New York University, I worked on large-scale team projects including preventative maintenance, installing and running smaller-scale events requiring AV equipment, and security system or software updates. With my passion and background of UX design, I also took the initiative to drive new documentation for our user guides and signage, creating various guides for over 100 classrooms for both Barnard College and NYU Steinhardt, which were continuously updated and distributed to all Barnard/NYU faculty and staff.
