ABOUT MELISSA MEJÍA FLÓREZ

10+ years advancing initiatives that promote sustainability and societal well-being, always striving to make a meaningful impact on a local and global scale. I have leveraged my consulting and management expertise to drive impactful initiatives as a Specialist and Consultant and at New Humanity, an international faith-based NGO in General Consultative Status with the United Nations ECOSOC and Official Partner of UNESCO, FAO, UNEP. As Communications Coordinator and Strategic Advisor, I\'ve designed and executed two strategic plans (three-year and six-year terms) and communication campaigns meticulously aligned with the organization’s vision and goals. My responsibilities included cascading these strategies across the organization and monitoring their progress to ensure alignment and effectiveness. Navigating that dynamic and diverse environment, I thrived by embracing unpredictability and contributing through dedicated volunteer follow-ups. This experience has honed my adaptability, leadership skills and a robust skill set in project management across various phases, problem-solving, sustainable-driven initiatives and fostering intercultural and interdisciplinary collaboration. These competencies enable me to work effectively with diverse stakeholders and devise innovative solutions for complex challenges.
