About Louis Stewart
As the Head of Strategic Initiatives for NVIDIA, I leverage my 23+ years of experience in innovation, entrepreneurship, and economic development to foster a more diverse and inclusive AI community. I work with minority serving institutions, government entities, industry partners, and affinity groups to increase tech preparedness, grow the developer base, and enable AI-driven solutions for social good.Before joining NVIDIA in 2020, I served as the first Chief Innovation Officer for the City of Sacramento, where I promoted and drove long-term economic growth and job creation through innovation. I bridged the public-private divide, reduced process, and supported seven key sectors of the Sacramento Urban Technology Lab (SUTL) framework. I also partnered with UC Berkeley SkyDeck accelerator and negotiated a memorandum of understanding to bring startups to Sacramento via the SUTL framework. Prior to that, I oversaw the California Innovation Hubs (iHubs) network as the Deputy Director of Innovation and Entrepreneurship in the Governor’s Office of Business and Economic Development. I am a service-based leader who believes in helping others be successful.
