About Meet Shah

I work on one of the hardest problems in medicine: turning breakthrough cell therapies into treatments that can reliably reach patients. I’m trained as a process development scientist, but my work is really about building and scaling manufacturing systems for cell and gene therapies like TCR-T, CAR-T and HSPC platforms. In this field, small process decisions can have an outsized impact on whether a therapy actually works outside of a controlled setting. Over the past seven years at GSK, Kite Pharma, Graphite Bio, and Genentech, I’ve supported multiple IND filings and led tech transfers across CDMOs and internal manufacturing sites, including an allogeneic CAR-T program. Much of my experience comes from working through the challenges that don’t show up in publications, like variability, scalability, and executing under real clinical timelines. What motivates me is straightforward: innovation only matters if it can scale. A therapy that works for 10 patients but cannot reach is not enough. I’m especially interested in how we rethink cell therapy manufacturing, from automation and decentralized models to more resilient supply chains, so we can move faster and reach more patients.
