As a Senior Analyst in the Youth division of Performance and Analysis Services at Sheffield City Council, I lead on designing robust data models, dashboards, and performance reports to support services working with young people across the city.I enhanced existing Power BI data models by introducing calendar lookup tables and time-based analysis features, enabling comparisons across years and months. I restructured DAX measures and data models to support multi-year tracking and trend analysis. Notably, I implemented a dynamic measure selector in the “Overall” Power BI report, combining data from IAG, Universal Youth, Prevention, and Youth Voice teams. This included filter logic to create cohort-based monthly performance matrices.I developed two versions of the Year 11 Activity Survey dashboard: one with row-level security for schools, providing pupil-level drilldowns with benchmarking; and another internal version showcasing geographic/demographic insights, LAC drillthroughs, and national comparisons.To support self-service analytics, I built decomposition tree visualizations and dashboards measuring the impact of NEET risk caseloads on outcomes. I also introduced user-friendly features like custom tooltips with guides and standardised visual themes aligned with corporate branding.I created performance metrics for IAG interventions, including time to first contact, average interventions per caseload, and speed of early engagement. Additionally, I built a Power Automate flow to generate and export tailored PDF reports for each caseload worker based on user requirements.Alongside technical development, I delivered internal training on Power BI concepts such as filter context and flow, mentored colleagues, and supported collaborative project delivery.Tools & Tech: Power BI, DAX, Excel, Power Automate, SharePoint, Office 365
