As part of the leadership team at Qualfon Corporation, I am responsible for managing and leading the transfer pricing operations across nine countries. My role requires managing transfer pricing (\'TP\') compliances, audits and strategies across these geographies. In addition, the role requires identifying the need for, and laying down TP processes, formulating policies, and executing inter-company agreements for the Group. An integral part of the role requires working closely with finance controllers and treasury to analyse financial information of the Group for tax strategy and planning and identifying opportunities for tax optimisation. The strategy projects are critical for Qualfon’s growth and diversification plans.In my past roles, I worked as a TP professional with global professional services firms – PriceWaterhouse & Co. LLP and KPMG. As an experienced professional, I was responsible for managing a diverse portfolio of clients spanning various industries such as M&E, alcoholic beverages, pharmaceuticals, FMCG, automobiles, IT and IT enabled services.The role involved assisting Fortune 500 companies and global multinationals in planning, documenting(including PE attribution reports) and defending their TP documentation, performing riskassessments and assisting with advance pricing agreements (unilateral/ bilateral), preparation andnegotiations with the Indian/ UK advance pricing authorities. I was also responsible for managing assessments, appellate and dispute resolution panel proceedings and working with senior legal counsels for cases before the higher appellate authorities (such as the Appellate Tribunal). I assisted clients on advisory projects concerning review and formulation of inter-company pricing policies and models, brand transfers, management cross-charges and advice on marketing intangibles.During my sabbatical, I operated as an independent tax consultant and supported Dhruva Advisors LLP with their knowledge and project management requirements. The role involved ideation, research, drafting publications, news alerts and magazines in the areas of international taxation and transfer pricing. I have also assisted Dhruva Advisors LLP with identifying and developing client relationships and liaising with prospective international network firms.My role as an independent consultant at Realtime Taxsutra Services Private Limited involved analyses and preparation of high-quality tax content for a client’s subscription portal.I have a proven track record of being an exceptional performer and manager.
