Configured and freeran HICCUP and the E3SM/SCREAM global climate model at high resolutions, on the GPU-enabled machine Polaris, to simulate Hurricane Irma at different initialization start dates- Developed a template for semi-automated post-processing in Python to input a lat-lon box for netcdf files and return a time series plot of the hurricane minimum and maximum magnitude values- Developed hurricane trajectory plots and parameter (temperature, precipitation, etc.) maps while contributing to a working paper on determining the effect of the simulation start dates on the forecast.
