Education professional with 12 years of experience in social sector and banking.I have 6 years of experience in education sector working with Azim Premji Foundation. I started working in education sector by joining the two-year fellowship program of Azim Premji Foundation. It\'s been a very good journey since the work had many elements, I find happiness in. The work involved teaching in classroom, teacher training, module designing, extensive reading and writing. I have written 10 articles mainly focused on how to teach reading. How is reading not just blending the alphabetic sounds. What role does context, prediction, oral language plays in reading. I loved to work both with students and teachers. It is really interesting to ask leading questions and have the audience experience the happiness of finding out the answer on their own. Helping teachers with classroom challenges with classroom support and discussion during training sessions. Getting to read numerous story books for children is another positive aspect of this work. Storytelling, reading aloud having discussion on the topics that come up in the story is one of my favourite activities.Previous to this I worked with ICICI bank for 6 years as an Assistant Manager. I got to work in varied roles as Bussiness Correpondent team lead, Gold Loan Sales Manager, Account Opening Team Lead and as a Verifier in Currency Chest.
