Quality Assurance Specialist with a focus on internal auditing.Main Duties and Responsibilities:• Monitoring quality improvement projects• Auditing the implementation of the quality system for effectiveness by verifying operation activities to Gate Gourmet, Customer, and Regulatory specifications• Monitoring the corrective action system• In conjunction with the QA Manager and QA Supervisor, educates (trains) unit staff and managers in quality-related issues• Playing a key role in developing a comprehensive quality program• In conjunction with the QA Manager and QA Supervisor, implementing the quality system detailed in the quality manual• Championing the total quality improvement efforts and initiating problem-solving efforts, and ensuring implementation• Driving prevention vs. detection of defects• Coordinating actions to prevent the occurrences of nonconformities• Maintaining customer compliance resolution• Responsible for the maintenance of key performance metrics for the Quality organisation• Controlling food safety and Quality of processing and manufacturing within the business• Supporting customer audits, government audits to meet compliance• Verifying and ensuring that company policies and procedures are followed• Ensuring quality specifications and requirements are followed and met• Developing Standard Operating Procedures• Responsible for safety, quality, and compliance with customer specifications• Training and monitoring employees on proper work procedures to ensure maximum productivity and security with minimum labour and costs• Responsible for performance evaluation, coaching, counselling, and preparing corrective action for employees, and liaises appropriately with HR and other support functions
