ABOUT MEENAKSHI CHABBA
Social-ecological systems scientist with expertise in evaluation of resilient infrastructure projects, nature-based solutions, and climate adaptation strategies through the lens of economic viability, ecosystem service values, social equity, and sustainability. I use ecological economics principles and practices to enhance urban resilience against disaster and climate risks and environmental and social hazards. Recent works include multiple and differential impacts of urban heat stress on health and wellbeing across socioeconomic and occupational variables, equity- and risk-based social benefit-cost analyses, and social wellbeing- Published research in peer-reviewed journals- Over two decades of experience as an educator in Biology, Environment Science, Ecology, Economic analysis to audiences ranging from high school and college students to professionals in disaster risk management- Statistical analysis using R/SPSS/STATA; GIS; survey development and semi-structured interviews, content analysis and thematic coding- Excellent communication skills with ability to adapt to new team environments.
