ABOUT MEENAKSHI SHUKLA

As a Configurator at Velan Inc, I apply my mechanical engineering and materials science knowledge to create customized valve solutions for the Nuclear and Navy shipbuilding industry applications. I work with the sales and engineering teams to understand customer requirements, design specifications, and delivery schedules. I have also gained valuable experience as a Production Planner for the Severe Service Industry at Velan Inc, where I was responsible for material planning, inventory management, and manufacturing optimization. I handled the ERP system Infor LN, validated inventory levels, and standardized procedures and sub-contractor processes. I contributed to the production of high-quality sub-assemblies for the mining industry, ensuring compliance with local health standards and codes. I hold a Master of Engineering degree in Materials Science from Concordia University, where I learned about shaping and joining processes, non-destructive testing methodologies, and heating and ventilation. I also have a Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering from Rajiv Gandhi Technical University, where I researched the efficiency of parabolic solar collectors using nanofluids, which was published in an international journal. I am passionate about mechanical product design and management, and I possess analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities. I am also proficient in French, and English. I am eager to learn new skills and technologies and to collaborate with diverse and innovative teams.
