Meenakshi “Meena” Das is a software engineer at Microsoft and a disability advocate working to advance accessibility in technology, education, and the workplace. Living with a speech disability, she brings both technical expertise and lived experience to conversations about inclusive design and disability equity in the tech industry.Her work focuses on helping organizations embed accessibility into products, services, and culture—from accessible digital experiences to inclusive events and workplaces. Meenakshi has led accessibility initiatives, advised organizations on disability inclusion, and built communities that empower people with disabilities to pursue careers in technology and advocacy.Meenakshi’s work has been widely recognized. She was named Disability:IN NextGen Leader of the Year, received the Stevie Award for Social Change Maker of the Year (Disability Category), was inducted into the Susan M. Daniels National Disability Mentoring Hall of Fame, and was recognized as a DO-IT Trailblazer by the University of Washington for changing the way the world views people with disabilities.She is also a contributor to the upcoming book Digital Accessibility Ethics: Disability Inclusion in All Things Tech. Through her writing and speaking, she encourages individuals and organizations to take practical steps toward a more inclusive future.
