Colleen Reiner, EdM, PMP is the Director of Education & Research Administration at the USF Health Center for Advanced Medical Learning and Simulation (CAMLS), a state-of-the-art training facility dedicated to advancing healthcare education through experiential learning. In her role, Colleen provides strategic leadership in the development, implementation, and evaluation of CAMLS’ educational programs, ensuring alignment with institutional goals and global healthcare needs. She also oversees CAMLS’ research initiatives, fostering innovation and interdisciplinary collaboration to drive advancements in healthcare simulation.A certified Project Management Professional (PMP) with over 20 years of experience, Colleen specializes in developing sustainable, research-driven educational programs for global audiences. Her expertise spans instructional design, multimedia technology, and transdisciplinary research, with a proven track record in securing NIH, NSF, and DoD funding to support innovative learning initiatives.Before joining USF, Colleen managed the largest multimedia curriculum development unit at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (UIUC), supporting 14 colleges and over 100 departments. She collaborated with faculty and researchers to develop evidence-based STEM curricula for online, degree-seeking, and continuing education programs, including Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs) that reached nearly 1 million learners across 165 countries.Her interdisciplinary research and curriculum development have had a global impact, with her work being integrated into programs by NASA, the United Nations, the U.S. National Park Service, Coursera, and leading educational institutions worldwide.
