About Robert Andrescik

For nearly three decades, I’ve helped organizations to find their voice, build and manage their teams, create effective strategies and grow their influence through internal and external communications, storytelling, video, social media management and public relations. I currently serve as executive director of communication, content and innovation for Northland Church, where I lead a collaborative \"team of teams\" that includes communications, IT, tech, worship and congregational engagement. I previously served as the southeast regional internal communications manager for DPR Construction, where I helped build an internal communications strategy from the ground up — change management communications, weekly videos, intranet content development and email campaigns. Before that, I served as director of communications and technology for Feeding Children Everywhere. In my role, I launched systems and processes at the intersection of storytelling, marketing technology and project management that were game changers for the organization. I introduced storytelling and content development that helped to double overall Web traffic and increased page views by 54 percent; and managed a team of interns and staffers. A former newspaper and magazine reporter, I also excel at media relations. My work has attracted the attention of reporters from The New York Times, CNN, The New Yorker, NPR and Fast Company, resulting in top-tier coverage. A certified Scrum Master, I’m passionate about project management, helping teams stay organized while keeping key stakeholders informed. I specialize in managing editorial calendars along with storytelling, blogging, internal communications, social media monitoring and engagement, PR, publishing, organizational communications, as well as technology evaluation and adoption. The stories I\'ve written have attracted the attention of local, national and international media. I also served as editor and publisher for several books published by the True North Foundation — curating content from public speeches and interviews conducted with the authors. Early in my career, I was senior editor of New Man magazine, developing the editorial calendar and overseeing an extensive network of freelancers. At the start of my career, I was a reporter for a small newspaper in Minneapolis.
