Spearheaded a multi-year investment to reduce Microsoft Entra’s response time in rolling out security-related breaking changes from ~1 year to a few weeks through architecting the Authentication Behaviors MS Graph API, released as public preview in June 2023. Coordinated the response and led communications for multiple high-impact security incidents. IDNA system behavior changes resultant from these incidents impact billions of tokens issued across ~5 million apps. Published several technical advisories through Microsoft Security Research Center (MSRC). Regularly drive VP+ leadership reviews. Lead effective decisions for prioritization of investments across multiple engineering teams using a data-based, document-driven approach. Own the roadmap for cross-platform support of phish-resistant authentication through brokers on Microsoft Authentication Library (MSAL) SDKs, including those for Node.js, Python.NET, and Java. MSAL SDKs support millions of applications in the Microsoft Entra ecosystem. Enabled Public Preview support for Token Protection Conditional Access policies, significantly reducing the likelihood of token theft / replay attacks by cryptographically binding a token to the device it’s issued to. Led integrations of broker-based auth with major developer tools such as Azure CLI and Visual Studio.
