About Medhaansh Gupta
Recently graduated neurobiology student from UC San Diego with a psychology minor, passionate about research in mental health and neuropsychology.My research experience spans cognitive psychology, behavioral analysis, and neuroscience, with projects investigating dolphin cognition, psychological resilience, neurotransmitter modulation, and tumor biology.In psychology, I’ve explored the role of reinforcement techniques in dolphin cognition, conducted behavioral coding of emotional displays, and analyzed psychological resilience through literature reviews. In neuroscience, I’ve studied neurotransmitter phenotype shifts at neuromuscular junctions using immunostaining and image analysis, contributing to our understanding of synaptic plasticity. Additionally, my cancer biology work has examined how inflammatory stressors influence protein expression in pancreatic cancer cell lines.I’m currently seeking full-time research assistant positions in psychology and neuroscience, as well as clinical research coordinator roles. I aim to strengthen my skills in experimental design, data analysis, and hands-on research with human participants. I’m particularly interested in projects that examine the biological basis of behavior and disease—especially those that inform mental health treatments and improve lives.
