My work focuses on making AI useful and trustworthy in regulated healthcare communications, from patient-facing tools to compliance and agency workflows.I’m building Patiently AI, an applied AI tool that turns clinical language into clear, human explanations across iOS, Android, and the web. The goal is simple: help people understand their health with confidence, without diagnosis, judgement or clinical interpretation.My work sits at the intersection of science, design, and AI systems. I build and test ideas that explore how advanced models can make healthcare communication clearer, safer, and more human. Some experiments become products; others remain prototypes that push how far clarity can go without crossing professional boundaries.As founder of PharmaTools.AI, I’ve created a suite of award-winning tools used across healthcare and medcomms, including:• Patiently AI – explaining medical notes in plain, empathetic language(Winner: Communiqué Awards 2025, 2x PMEA Awards 2025)• MedCheckr, checking promotional claims against pharma codes of practice using AI(Winner: Code Clarity Award 2024)• PosterLens – enabling conversational interaction with scientific posters at conferences• HushMap – mapping sensory-friendly quiet spaces using AI• BiomarkerFinder – translating complex biomarker data into clear, usable insights(Winner: Open Targets Hackathon 2025)My background is a PhD in biochemistry and 20 years of medical writing, all centred on the same mission: translating complexity into something people can actually use.
