About Jorge Proaño
I am an Ecuadorian designer, consultant and educator based in New York City. My work is an exploration of the influence of the network on the customs of individuals and society. I collaborate with executives, designers, artists and engineers to create critically acclaimed experiences, products and advertisements. My work has been awarded and showcased at the Cannes Lions Awards, the NYC Media Lab summit, South by South West and in publications like Time magazine, Wired, Quartz and the BBC. I believe that by building upon the existing infrastructures of our networked society states, brands and individuals can create wealth and at the same time promote cultural empowerment, critical thinking and self reflection.
