Dear Recruiter,My earliest and most educational administrative position was with a small company called Lesley & Associates (not on this resume); a moving coordination company that assisted companies with their facility moves. We coordinated the moves of all their lease equipment, according to their lease contracts. We assisted with the move of the computer and telephone equipment, as well as all furnishings, files, and most importantly, we tried to make the moves as seamless as possible for the employees and officers of the companies and institutions with which we contracted. It was a rich, high volume, high stress learning environment which introduced me to many facets of office management.At Marsh, after 4 years of employment, I identified a need for an in-house travel department and was given the go ahead to create it. In the first three months, we realized a savings of Energy Partners was a startup investment research firm. We started with the three investors and myself in a slightly larger than a closet office. In the two years I was there we grew to a staff of 20 with me as the only administrative employee. I administered the computers and phones and created the publications for client distribution. I planned road trips and client events locally and nationally.Forge USA is a steel forging plant. My role included standard administrative duties as well as some HR duties, ordering of steel, personal assisting, and researching the setup of a new machine shop in Brookshire, Texas.Quintana Minerals Corporation is the management company for many entities owned by a prominent Texas family. I did research as well as travel planning, meeting minutes, and project proposals.I very much enjoy multi-tasking and a busy, dynamic atmosphere.
