ABOUT MEARA SEDLAK

Hi I\'m Meara! I am a reliable, quality-driven engineer with a passion for the research, development, and market implementation of effective medical technologies. I have 5+ years of work experience in the biotechnology industry including experience with gene therapy products. I am currently working as a project manager and I have experience with leading multidisciplinary teams towards accomplishing common goals with impactful results.I previously was a project manager in the Viral Vector Manufacturing team at Center for Breakthrough Medicines, a CDMO in the gene and cell therapy space. As part of of this role, I implemented a process to charter and implement continuous improvement projects. I also led and completed an organizational readiness project to ensure readiness for manufacturing. As part of a shadowing experience, I facilitated analytical testing and final deliverables for a small-scale client project. Prior to this role I was a process engineer at Amicus Therapeutics, a biotechnology company focused on rare diseases. In this role, I worked with CMOs and cross-functional teams to complete our small molecule validation, secondary packaging validation, and assisted with leading a gene therapy sub-team. I also have experience with data analysis, primarily working with JMP to perform statistical analyses and lab research in a process development lab with a focus on upstream development. I graduated from the University of Pittsburgh, Swanson School of Engineering. I studied biomedical engineering with a concentration in cellular engineering.
