About Meagan Seufert
As a freshly graduated optometrist, I look forward to leveraging my years of experience working within the optical and optometric sectors for my future patients. In the coming months, I will be starting a residency in Ocular Disease and Primary Care Optometry with Santa Fe Indian Health Center to enable me to remain on the cutting edge of research and treatments that can further benefit the quality of life of my patients. Through my work in optometry, I seek to improve access to vision care to underserved communities domestically and globally and to advocate on behalf of my patients for their holistic care. I look to continue to pursue advocacy within my profession so that I can help to further expand the scope of optometric practice to better serve my patients to the full scope of my education. To that end, after completing residency, I plan to pursue a Master\'s in Public Health to help further the profession through legislation by working with state and federal lawmakers through events like State Advocacy Day and AOA on Capitol Hill.
