About Meagan McGinnes-Bessey

Meagan is the managing editor of digital audience and community engagement at WBUR, Boston\'s largest NPR newsroom. She edits and manages the strategy behind all of WBUR\'s editorial newsletters — with more launching each year. Meagan considers herself an audience engagement advocate and digital strategist, and has worked on many of the station\'s multi-platform projects, including Field Guide to Boston. She\'s been at WBUR since October 2018. Previously, she was a Senior Reporter at Project NOSH - a trade publication by BevNET that covers natural, organic, healthy or sustainable packaged food companies and products. Before that, she worked as a Staff Writer for Boston.com. Meagan received her MBA from Boston University\'s Questrom School of Business in January 2024. Outside of work, you can find Meagan rock climbing, tackling a CrossFit workout, volunteering at Shultz\'s Guest House or digging up sweet potatoes in her garden.
