My work focuses on data storytelling and accessible data visuals to communicate complexity and understanding. I have 8+ years of experience as a data-focused product designer at companies such as The New York Times, renewable energy climate tech (LevelTen Energy, Uptake), social media analytics (Sprout Social) and biotech (ZS Associates). As a product designer, I facilitate data-informed decisionmaking, build accessible data viz design systems, and steer user research and service design. I\'m a graduate of Columbia University\'s Lede Program for Data Journalism, where I learned the latest cartography, data analysis and visualization approaches. My past experience as a climate researcher in biogeochemistry, network ecology and resource monitoring helped me unearth my data / design / storytelling niche.
