Word nerd. Connector. I am a storyteller and eagle-eyed editor who partners with executives and key stakeholders to plan and provide accessible, inspiring, educational, and strategic employee communications for multiple audiences. I work closely with HR in all things communication: rewards and recognition programs, learning and development initiatives, wellness, employee experience, compensation and benefits, performance management, and talent management. Aside from internal communications, I have deep experience in Spanish communications, including interpreting and translation.(I was a medical interpreter in a past life, so if you ever need to know how to say \"jaundice\" or \"hay fever\" in Spanish, holler!) I thrive on creative thinking, strategy and planning, narrative building, relationship building, culture transformation, employee engagement and recognition, social media and change management work. Oh, and perhaps too important to mention so far down in an \"about me\" pitch, I practice empathy and bring it into my connections, conversations, and work. Outside of MidPen, find me navigating cities, volunteering in my community, cooking something plant-based (and dreaming about my future garden), watching basketball, seeing one of my favorite bands, gifting translations to community-based organizations I believe in, and stopping to pet every dog I see.
