ABOUT MIKE SIMON

Senior defense and aerospace logistics leader (Command Chief Master Sergeant, USAF, Ret.) with over 25 years of operational and enterprise-level leadership across Air Combat Command, Air Force Special Operations Command, global deployments, and national leadership institutions. I currently support the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center (AFLCMC), Combat Readiness Directorate (ROA) as a Senior Logistics Manager within the Automatic Test Systems (ATS) portfolio, focused on the Common Armament Tester-Fighter (CAT-F) Innovation Cell at Robins Air Force Base.In this role, I support the planning, acquisition, development, fielding, and lifecycle sustainment of next-generation automatic test capabilities that directly enable fighter aircraft readiness. My work centers on delivering a modern CAT-F tester capable of testing and troubleshooting fighter armament circuits at the organizational and intermediate maintenance levels—ensuring maintainers have reliable, scalable tools aligned to operational demand.I provide integrated logistics leadership across all ILS elements, including maintenance planning, manpower, supply support, support equipment, technical data, training, facilities, computer resources, and Packaging, Handling, Storage, and Transportation.(PHS & T). I support RFP and source selection activities, participate in Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) and innovation forums, and collaborate closely with program managers and lead logisticians to align maintenance concepts and sustainment strategies with combat readiness priorities.My broader career includes leading multidomain maintenance and operations teams supporting advanced aircraft and mission systems (JSTARS, CV-22, MQ-9, GCS), expeditionary communications, airfield operations, and high-demand special operations missions.
