ABOUT MICHAEL ONEILL
Urban Planner / urban policy maker / city builder with particular experience in parks planning, transportation planning, and planning for mega-events. I am especially interested in the public realm and mobility systems, and how we can change both to make our cities greener, more resilient, more equitable, and more attractive. I’ve worked on projects big and small - from coordinating work on Toronto’s signature subway project and a city wide sports field investment strategy to thinking through acquisition strategies for individual plots of lands or criteria to decide where to place a monument. I’m a skilled writer who has spent nearly every working day of the last five years drafting emails, reports, web content, many (successful) grant applications, and briefing notes. I thrive in a collaborative environment, work well under pressure, and am a big believer in the value of getting out into nature on the weekend.
