ABOUT MARK KOENIG
My current responsibilities include directing a Project Management group that lead cross-functional teams to develop concepts into new products. We utilize a refined stage-gate process ensuring a product’s strategic alignment and ranking of priority within the new product pipeline. I lead a separate team of Product Line Managers who provide product cost estimates, track market performance of new products and report profit improvement initiatives. They complete the product life-cycle through a Line Optimization analysis to improve working capital efficiency. The third element of my role includes advancing product line management process capability on a global basis. This work centers on adapting U.S. developed product life-cycle processes into emerging global regions. Earlier roles included managing an automotive chemical plant, a lubricant blending and packaging plant, and operations of a regional used oil collection service. Regardless of setting, it is essential to make sure you have a solid team in place, listen intently to understand the challenges they face and strive to find and implement solutions. I define success as achieving organizational goals, and the development of resources in my charge.
